LYSA programs are open to:

• Children enrolled in Lindsay ISD

• Children whose parent or guardian lives within the City of Lindsay

• Homeschooled children whose parent or guardian lives within Lindsay ISD or the City of Lindsay

The Executive Board may approve exceptions.

• Full refund if requested before registration closes.

• Half refund, minus uniform and equipment costs, if requested after registration closes but before the team's first practice.

• No refunds after the first practice.

A family member age 14 or older is expected to volunteer during each season the player participates, such as working concessions, the gate, setup, cleanup, or field maintenance.

All players, parents, coaches, volunteers, and board members agree to the following at every practice, game, and event:

• No alcohol, tobacco, vaping, or illegal drugs.

• No abusive or profane language, and no physical altercations.

• No disrespectful or negative posts about LYSA, players, families, or officials on social media.

• Players must wear appropriate athletic clothing.

Violations may result in a warning, probation, suspension, or removal. Decisions can be appealed in writing to the President or Vice President within 7 days.

All coaches, and any adult helping at practices or games, must submit a coach application and pass a background check each year before working with players.

• Lightning: if lightning is within 5 miles, activity stops for 30 minutes. If lightning is still active after the delay, the event is canceled or rescheduled.

• Heat: at 96° or above, or a heat index of 104° or above, outdoor practices include water and shade breaks every 30 minutes and last no more than 2 hours.

• Cold: no outdoor practice when the wind chill is below 32°, or below 40° with precipitation.

A player who leaves to play for another town in the same league will be suspended from LYSA sports for 365 days. This doesn't apply if LYSA doesn't offer that sport or age division, or doesn't have enough players to form a team. Appeals go to the board.

Returned checks carry a $35 fee, and future payments must be made in cash or money order.
